Quick Draw is a lovely 48 hour animation competition, you&#8217;re given a prompt on the first day and you have 48 hours to animate whatever pops into your head. The prompt this time around was <strong>mini<\/strong>, which lead to the magnum opus that is <strong>I Shouldn&#8217;t<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Shouldn&#8217;t is a tale about singing, iced cream, a persuasive iced cream salesman and doing things we probably shouldn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being a huge fan of Don&#8217;t Hug Me I&#8217;m Scared, I thought it would be fun to create a CG imitation of a live action puppet piece. Going down this route, I could keep the rigs really light, the models low-poly and the animation simple, saving much needed time. I had lots of fun putting this together and I&#8217;m really happy with how it all turned out. All animated in Blender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the madcap 48 hours were over, I had the pleasure of watching my film, along with all other entries, on the big screen at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiffanimation.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mini Cardiff Animation Festival<\/a>.
